601st Special Forces Group
The 601st Special Forces Group (601. skupina speciálních sil) is a specialized unit of the Czech Armed Forces based in Prostějov. It operates under the Czech Ministry of Defence's Special Forces Directorate and provides specialized capabilities for special operations, reconnaissance, intelligence activities, and other high-risk missions.
The unit has a long history within Czech military special operations. Its lineage includes airborne and special forces formations dating back decades, with the modern 601st Special Forces Group established as part of the transformation of Czech special forces after the country's entry into NATO.
Personnel from the 601st Special Forces Group have participated in international missions, including operations in Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
DUM SPIRO SPERO
The back design features the words "DUM SPIRO SPERO", a Latin expression meaning "While I breathe, I hope." The motto is closely associated with the 601st Special Forces Group and appears alongside the unit's distinctive crossed-blades and parachute insignia.
Czech Special Forces Design
The front of the hoodie features a compact 601st Special Forces insignia on the chest. The back displays a larger version of the emblem with "DUM SPIRO SPERO", "601. SKSS", and "CZECH SPECIAL FORCES".
